Policies & compliance
This page is readable without verification so you can review our terms before you enter the catalogue.
1. Intended use
All materials supplied by Molecular Edge are for in-vitro laboratory, analytical, and scientific research only. No product on this site is a drug, dietary supplement, cosmetic, or medical device, and none is intended, labeled, or approved for human consumption, clinical administration, veterinary use, diagnostic use, or self-administration of any kind.
2. No medical or performance claims
Nothing on this site is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease or condition, or to affect the structure or function of the human or animal body. References to biological pathways or research applications describe the subject matter of laboratory research only. They are not claims about effects in humans or animals and not a recommendation to use any material outside a controlled research setting.
3. Purchaser eligibility
By placing an order you represent and warrant that you are at least 21 years of age and that you are a qualified researcher, laboratory technician, or representative of a legitimate research institution, purchasing solely for controlled laboratory use consistent with your institution’s protocols and applicable law. Materials may not be purchased for personal use, human or veterinary administration, resale to consumers, or compounding.
4. Verification and right to refuse
Molecular Edge may request documentation of institutional or laboratory affiliation before accepting or fulfilling any order, and reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any request at its sole discretion, including where a purchaser’s stated use, order pattern, or shipping details are inconsistent with legitimate research use.
5. Analytical documentation
Analytical documentation, such as a certificate of analysis, may be available for some materials. Where a document is provided, it describes only the sample identified on it, is provided for reference, and is not a warranty of fitness for any particular research use. Unless a document is expressly provided with your order, no analytical documentation is promised or implied.
6. Handling, storage, and disposal
Qualified laboratory personnel are solely responsible for determining storage, handling, and disposal procedures in accordance with their institution’s biosafety protocols and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Molecular Edge does not provide dosing, administration, or clinical guidance of any kind, and none should be inferred from product descriptions.
7. Regulatory compliance is the purchaser’s responsibility
Peptide and reagent regulations vary by state and country, and some compounds may be restricted or unavailable in certain jurisdictions. The purchaser is solely responsible for determining whether receipt, possession, and use of a given material complies with the laws of their jurisdiction and institution before ordering. Molecular Edge does not provide legal advice on regulatory status.
8. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in our quality-control process or applicable regulation. Continued use of this site constitutes acceptance of the current version.
1. Agreement to terms
Access to this site and any request or order made through it is conditioned on acceptance of these terms together with the RUO policy. If you do not agree, do not use this site or request any material.
2. Orders and payment
Placing an order creates an order number and payment instructions, not a completed sale. An order is confirmed only after Molecular Edge receives and verifies your payment, and Molecular Edge may decline or cancel any order, including for unavailable stock, pricing errors, or failed eligibility checks, in which case any payment received is refunded. Orders awaiting payment may be cancelled if payment is not received within a reasonable time.
3. No resale or redistribution
Materials may not be resold, redistributed, repackaged, or transferred to any party for human or veterinary use, or to any party who has not independently made the eligibility representations in the RUO policy.
4. Assumption of risk
Research chemicals carry inherent handling risks. By ordering you assume all risk associated with receipt, storage, handling, and disposal of these materials, and agree to follow your institution’s laboratory safety protocols and all applicable regulations.
5. Limitation of liability
Materials are supplied “as is” for research use only, without warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose beyond the specifications stated in the product listing. Molecular Edge’s liability for any claim is limited to the purchase price of the affected product, and Molecular Edge is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use or misuse of a material.
6. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Molecular Edge harmless from any claim, loss, or liability arising from your use of a material outside the scope of the RUO policy, including any use involving human or veterinary administration.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Orange County, Florida for any dispute arising under these terms.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly (name, email, shipping address, institution or laboratory name, and request history) and basic technical data used to operate and secure the site.
When you sign the Research Use Only Acknowledgment and Waiver, we keep a record of it: your name, email address, organization and title if you gave them, your typed signature, the date and time, your IP address, and the exact version of the agreement you signed. We keep this record as proof of your agreement.
2. How we use it
Information is used to process requests, verify researcher eligibility, provide support, and send updates you have opted into. We do not sell personal information.
3. Institutional verification records
Where you provide documentation of institutional affiliation, that record is retained only as long as needed for compliance and order-history purposes and is accessible only to authorized staff.
4. Local storage
This site keeps your cart in your browser’s local storage on your own device, and keeps your waiver and sign-in status in secure cookies. It stores your orders (name, shipping address, email, and order contents) on our servers so we can fulfill them. It does not use third-party advertising trackers. Emails about your orders are handled by your own email provider and ours.
5. Your rights
You may request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the address on the contact page, subject to records we must retain for compliance purposes.
1. Order verification
Requests are reviewed against the eligibility representations in the RUO policy before fulfillment. Molecular Edge may hold or cancel an order pending verification of institutional affiliation.
2. Shipping
Confirmed orders received before 3PM ET ship the same business day by expedited service, packed to protect lyophilized and liquid material in transit. Some materials may be restricted in certain states or countries, and requests to those destinations may be refused.
3. Damaged or incorrect shipments
Report damaged-in-transit or incorrect shipments within 48 hours of delivery, including photos of the received item and packaging and any product code shown on the label, to qualify for replacement.
4. Returns
Because these are laboratory reagents, opened, used, or reconstituted items cannot be returned. Unopened items may be eligible for return within 14 days at Molecular Edge’s discretion; contact us before returning any item.
